Omaka camp ground

While visiting beautiful Christchurch stay at our unique Omaka scout camp, set amongst a welcoming atmosphere of tall elegant trees, naturally  landscaped grounds and a stunning backdrop from the mountains and dense bush.
Omaka is a Scout camping ground that is utilized by the scouting community through out the Canterbury area. Groups regularly use Omaka for camping, meetings and one off events. Though Omaka is a Scout Camping Ground it is open to community groups, schools and private groups for a range of purposes by bookings only.
We offer a range of quality, affordable options including a cabin, tent sites and marae style in our big lodge. The cabin includes 3 bunks (6 beds) and lots of wonderful floor space. If you decide to try our marae style sleeping, bring your sleeping bags and lay them out on the soft carpet. Lie down and have a relaxing snooze. We have plenty of spaces where you can pitch your tent on our lovely green grass.
Our camp has clean and hygienic toilets and showers. As well as our newly built toilet and shower block. In our main building we have a large spacious kitchen and an attaching dining hall that can also be used as a sleeping room.
Bring your kids as we have an Obstacle course where your kids can run, jump and swing around. If your family has had a stressful day get out the tubes and float calmly down the river. If that's not enough you can always take a peaceful walk around our beautiful camp ground.
We hope we will see you soon, in Omaka. A Country camp on Christchurch's doorstep!

  2. This is a very informative piece of writing and certainly sets the scene for a gorgeous stay. Your use of vocabulary adds to the mood of your writing. Omaka could almost use this on their website. $100
